Hem on banners

Question - Do you still need the hem on banners if you use Holdons?

Answer - Often not, because the clips do not damage the fabric and the gripping area is spread. Installing an eyelet actually weakens the area where it's installed. The performance with traditional eyelets on non-hemmed material is generally unsatisfactory. Do a comparative test yourself.
